The Best Service Award for this year was presented to the New Companies Section in recognition of its efforts in providing service on “Registration of new companies - local companies - delivery in electronic form”. The result of the Best Counter Staff Award was also announced.

The Companies Registry has been awarded the “Best SME’s Partner Award” for 13 consecutive years and is glad to receive the Gold Award for four consecutive years in recognition of our support and contributions provided to SMEs. The Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 16 November 2021.

Mr YU Hoi-tin, Jason, Companies Registration Officer I of the Registry for Trust and Company Service Providers has been selected to receive the Ombudsman’s Awards 2021 for Officers of Public Organisations in recognition of his outstanding performance in providing quality customer services and handling complaints.

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service has continued to award the 10 Years Plus Caring Organisation Logo to the Companies Registry in recognition of our commitments and contributions in caring for the community, our employees and the environment. We have been awarded the recognition as a Caring Organisation for thirteen consecutive years since 2008-09.

Mr MOK Kuen-shing, Terence, Companies Registration Officer I of the General Registration Section of the Registry has been selected to receive the Ombudsman’s Awards 2020 for Officers of Public Organisations in recognition of his outstanding performance in providing quality customer services and handling complaints.

The Companies Registry has been awarded the “Best SME’s Partner Award” for 12 consecutive years and this is also the third consecutive year for us to receive the Gold Award in recognition of our support and contributions provided to SMEs. The Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 17 November 2020.

The Companies Registry has been awarded the 2020 “Partner Employer Award” in recognition of our contribution in offering internship to students.

The Companies Registry has been accredited as a Manpower Developer in recognition of our outstanding achievements in manpower training and development.

In an effort to support the community in the fight against COVID-19, the Companies Registry Volunteer Team held a fundraising activity to procure personal protective equipment for distribution to people in need.

Mr Christopher HUI, the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, paid a visit to the Companies Registry on 8 May 2020.

The Companies Registry has been awarded the Meritorious Award in the Departmental Service Enhancement Award (Small Department Category) in the Civil Service Outstanding Service Award Scheme 2019 organised by the Civil Service Bureau.

Ms Michelle LI, JP, the Permanent Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury (Financial Services) (PSFS), paid a visit to the Registry on 22 November 2019.

Ms LI On-ki, Bertha, Companies Registration Officer I (Customer Services) has been selected to receive the Ombudsman’s Awards 2019 for Officers of Public Organisations in recognition of her outstanding performance in providing quality customer services and handling complaints.

Miss YAU Oi-sum, Nancy, Deputy Registry Manager, was awarded the Secretary for the Civil Service’s Commendation Award in recognition of her exceptionally meritorious and consistently outstanding performance.

The Companies Registry has been awarded the 2019 “Partner Employer Award” in recognition of our contribution in offering internship to students.

Miss Wendy Ma, Registry Manager (Trust and Company Service Providers), represented the Companies Registry to participate in the “Life Buddies” 2019/20 Launching Ceremony on 21 September 2019 and received a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of our support of the Job Tasting Programme 2019.

Mr Joshua LAW, the Secretary for the Civil Service, paid a visit to the Companies Registry on 15 May 2019 and met staff representatives of various grades.

On 18 April 2019, two Form 5 students shadowed the Registrar of Companies, Ms Ada Chung on the job for a day under the “Be a Government Official for a Day” Programme 2019 - Heads of Departments Edition to gain hands-on experience of the Registrar’s work and a better understanding of the Companies Registry’s operation.

The Registrar of Companies joined the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury to pay home visits to the elderly households and needy families in Southern District on 19 July 2017.

The Companies Registry continued to join hand with the Junior Achievement Hong Kong in hosting a one-day Job Shadowing programme for 16 Form 5 students from Ling Liang Church E Wun Secondary School on 5 May 2017.

The Registrar of Companies, Ms Ada Chung, gave presentation as the keynote speaker at the seminar entitled “The Companies Ordinance Turns Two” on 2 March 2016.

The Companies Registry received the Second Runner-up of 2014-15 “Hong Kong Citizen, Hong Kong Heart” Ambassador Volunteer Programme Award in recognition of our Volunteer Team's continuous efforts in organising volunteer activities.

The Companies Registry has collaborated with the Centennial College in arranging a 12-week accounting internship to Year 3 students of the Bachelor of Professional Accounting Programme of the College.

The Companies Registry has signed a Sponsorship Agreement with the Asian Institute of International Financial Law on 22 January 2015 in organising a series of lectures on Corporate Law and Corporate Governance.

The Companies Registry hosted visits from other jurisdictions from time to time.

Our “e-Registry – E-Incorporation and One-stop Service for Company Incorporation and Business Registration” has been awarded the Best Public Service Application (Transformation) Gold Award in the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2012.

The Companies Registry launched the electronic incorporation service and a one-stop electronic incorporation and business registration service on 18 March 2011.

The Companies Registry has signed Cooperation Agreements with a number of Mainland authorities to enhance communication and cooperation relating to registration of companies and enterprises and promote closer liaison.
