e-News Subscription

The Companies Registry shall not have any legal liability or responsibility for any delay, or any indirect consequences or damages (including but not confined to monetary loss, business hindrance, software problems or data loss, etc.) resulting from the use of or a failure to use the e-News service.

To maintain smooth functioning of the service and data integrity, the Companies Registry reserves the right to remove from the distribution list of the e-News service, without the prior consent of subscribers, any email addresses of the subscribers which are suspected to be causing problems to the service.

In the event of your opt-out from direct marketing by requesting the Companies Registry to cease to use in direct marketing your personal data provided in this form or any subsequent change thereof which you inform the Companies Registry (see paragraph 6 of the Personal Information Collection Statement below), that would be regarded as your request to unsubscribe from the e-News service.

The personal data you provided in this form and any subsequent change thereof which you inform the Companies Registry will be used by the Companies Registry for the following purposes –

1. sending you updates on the Companies Registry's services and new initiatives, and legislative changes to the Companies Ordinance;
2. facilitating communications between you and the Companies Registry.

You have the right to request for access to or correction of your personal data held by the Companies Registry. Any such request for access to and correction of personal data may be made to any officer acting for or on behalf of the Registrar of Companies at the Companies Registry, 14th Floor, Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong.

The Companies Registry may use your personal data provided in this form (including name, type of business, Country / Region & City / District and email address) and any subsequent change thereof which you inform the Companies Registry, in direct marketing of the Companies Registry’s facilities and services in relation to incorporation and registration of companies, registration and inspection of company documents and information, the Companies Registry’s new initiatives, and legislative changes to the Companies Ordinance.The Companies Registry may not so use your personal data without your consent (which includes an indication of no objection).

As the communications under the e-News service may contain direct marketing materials, we would not be able to process or accept your subscription without obtaining your consent to so use your personal data.

By submitting the subscription for the e-News service, you are consenting to the Companies Registry to so use your personal data in direct marketing.

If you subsequently do not wish the Companies Registry to use in direct marketing your personal data provided in this form or any subsequent change thereof which you inform the Companies Registry, you may, at any time without charge, exercise your opt-out right by notifying the Companies Registry to cease to use your personal data in direct marketing via the following channels –

1. email to crcsd@cr.gov.hk; or
2. in writing to the Customer Services and Management Division, Companies Registry, 15th Floor, Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong.
